Discover Culinary Market, a fab, fun, new cheese and specialty food shop. My goal is to locate the hard to find, and the new trends in the culinary world, with a focus on “Artisan,” small-batch, handmade, foods that follow traditional family methods, and are created using only clean, pure, natural, and the freshest ingredients the maker can find.

For the past 25 years I have been in the restaurant business, most recently as Consulting Chef in charge of menu research and development for the Creative Cuisine Company. I love the hunt and research of new foods and wanted to bring all the exciting things I found to Rochester’s growing metropolitan palate – from our professional kitchen to your home kitchen.

Captivating Cheeses:
Imported cheeses like Manchego and Garrotxa from Spain; Buffalo Mozzarella and Taleggio from Italy; Saint Marcellin and Abbaye de Bellocq from France; Aged Boerenkaas Gouda from Holland, Australian King Island Blue Brie, and the list goes on. And I adore the artisan selections from across our country, like Cowgirl Creamery in California, to Haystack Mountain in Colorado, Sweet Grass Dairies in Georgia, Vermont Butter and Cheese in Vermont, and everywhere in between. Check the website for frequent updates.

Adventurous Ingredients:
· Olive Oils from CA, Italy, France, Spain and even Tunisia
· Pure Nut Oils Almond, Pumpkin Seed, Hazelnut, Walnut and Pistachio
· Imported Hand Salted Marcona Almonds
· Honeys from all over the US, Italy and France
· A huge variety of finishing salts and glamorous sugars
· Imported grains and pastas, like Fregula Sarda, Buckwheat Polenta, Bucatini
· Chutneys, jams, olives, spreads, crackers, crostini, breads, preserved lemons, pomegranate molasses, fig bread…

And if you’re still feeling adventurous, explore the charcuterie items, like Iberico and Serrano ham, pates, salami, sausages, prosciutto and pancetta.

Uncorked Tastings:
Try a personal cheese plate as a snack, lunch, or appetizer. Or, gather your group for a cheese and wine tasting tailored for you. Also, check the website for impromptu tastings dates.

Live Zestfully!
