News from City Market: For the third year in a row, the readers of Rochester Magazine have voted City Market as the 2007: Best Deli
Every appetite
can be satisfied at this bustling downtown deli. You'll find hearty
sandwiches on fresh-baked bread (see our write-up for Best Sandwiches),
leaf and pasta salads (like the Asian shrimp and noodle salad), gourmet
soups (including specialties from the deli's sister restaurants, like
the Redwood Room's spicy chicken and the Broadstreet's tomato basil),
and more exotic fare (like a shrimp and chipotle panini).
Post-Bulletin 2/2007 Best Sandwiches The best-selling sandwich at City Market (which also took honors for Best Deli Food) is the roast beef and smoked gouda on a Portuguese bun with chipotle mayo.
